Love the mom/daughter test kitchen! I made your carrot soup for dinner last night and it was delicious. My 2 1/2 year old insisted on having it for lunch AND dinner today.

I've cooked my way through most of your book, though not on purpose; I just love how simple and easy you make it. Like Lynne wrote, it's like all the pressure is off since it's not a "real" cookbook — though, rest assured, your recipes are better than most "real" cookbooks I have in my kitchen. Everything I've tried has been simple to make, and I've found that a lot of them are easily adaptable (I added mashed banana to your yogurt cake once and lemon & poppyseed another time for a fancier brunch cake). I also made a meyer lemon glaze for the profiteroles, which were such a crowd pleaser that I make them over and over again just to impress people. It's amazing how they just puff up in the oven.

The pasta with fresh peas, arugula and goat cheese was fantastic (I used frozen peas then...but now I see them everywhere at my farmer's market in SF). I've also made Gwendal's quick and dirty chocolate souffle (but was sad to see it didn't rise! I'm not sure where I went wrong there...I even buttered the ramekins). And I love the omelette with artichoke hearts; it actually got me addicted and now I put them on everything from salads to sandwiches.

Your recipes are so fantastic! I recommend your book constantly to people and can't wait to try more. Are you writing a book about Provence food & fare?
